Not the usual food from home: here's a new idea for preparing lunch to take to school or work!

Do you know that Japanese culinary culture is not just made up of sushi, sashimi and miso soup? For example, a particular Japanese custom is the take-away lunch called “Bento“, placed in particular containers.

Prepared either at home or bought in shops and restaurants, in addition to being good to eat, the meal must also be beautiful to look at!

The Bento Box we offer includes rice, crispy chicken breaded in panettone powder and a Panettone omelette prepared with a slice of Classic Panettone.

Directions
For the rice
Wash the rice under running water and rinse it 4/5 times, then if you have a rice cooker follow the instructions otherwise pour rice water and salt into a pan and boil following the instructions found on the rice packaging.
Cut the nori seaweed into strips, wet your hands with water, take an amount of rice suitable for your palm and crush between your fingers until you obtain a triangular shape and apply the seaweed strip
For the fried marinated chicken
Debone chicken thighs until the desired amount is obtained and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the pieces with sake, ginger, soy sauce, salt and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes, then mix cornstarch, flour and crumbled panettone in a bowl.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat it in the mixture of cornstarch/flour/panettone powder. Heat up the oil and add the chicken pieces until they are nicely browned, then place the chicken on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
For the Panettone omelette
First, slice the panettone. Then, in a bowl, mix together the eggs, soy sauce, salt, and sugar and beat well. Meanwhile, heat the square skillet and grease it with a little oil. Pour a portion of the batter into the skillet and when it begins to solidify, add the slice of panettone.
Start rolling the omelette onto the slice without pulling it away from the pan. Once a roll is completed, pour the other part of the batter into the pan and repeat the process. When finished, place the omelette on a bamboo mat, press to shape it. Once completed, slice the omelette into pieces.
